Marseille, European capital of the culture in 2013: a memorable day through Art and Culture !
8:30am departure from Cotignac in a minibus to Marseille, European major elected representative of the culture for year 2013.

Accompanied with a qualified guide, we will explore the old Marseille and “Panier” district  : 26 centuries of history. From the Hôtel de Ville to the Vieille Charité, a walk throughout the Panier district, the oldest quarter in France : Hôtel Dieu, Maison Diamantée, Saint Laurent church & Docks Romains Museum


Then we shall go to the assault of the J1, an immense hangar located in Marseille’s port area. The exhibition takes place here, in a labyrinth of containers that have been modified, customised and stacked to create a series of treasure chests forming an imaginary journey. An experience not to be missed!

 The exhibition Mediterraneans brings together a corpus of 171 pieces of artwork presented as part of 11 historical periods. Each period features a different theme, which is presented through short animated films.

Drive back to Cotignac for an arrival planned towards 6:30pm.
